Data Protection Policy Chronoswiss
We, Chronoswiss AG, are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest in our products. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and we want you to feel safe when visiting our website.
If you provide personal data to us, we shall handle this data with due care and in compliance with data protection laws. Data which you transmit to us by way of messages via the contact form, by entering into a contract or by email will be forwarded in a secure environment via our provider to us or to a confidentiality-bound service provider we have instructed. The data will be deleted after a response has been sent or the contract has been performed, provided that we no longer require the data for the purposes of our contract with you, that there are no statutory duties to store the data or that you have expressly consented to your data to be continued to be used.
We will use your personal data only to the extent necessary for the purposes of our contractual relationship with you and for website administration purposes, in compliance with applicable laws. We only transmit personal data to state institutions and authorities if required under mandatory national legal rules.
We do not use data for any other purposes or pass on data to third parties, except to the extent set out in this data protection policy.
Collection and processing of personal data
When you visit the Chronoswiss AG website, we generally do not require from you any personal data. We only receive information about the name of your Internet service provider, the website from which you were directed to our site and the pages of our site you visit. This data is evaluated for statistical purposes, and the individual visitor remains anonymous.
If you wish to order an item from our online shop, you can choose whether you want to provide your data required for this order only once for the purposes of this particular order or whether you want to set up a customer account. A customer account will save your data for future purchases. If you do not set up a customer account, we will save your data for the purposes of performing the contract and will delete the data as soon as we no longer have a legal duty to retain it. Mandatory information required for performing the contract is marked accordingly; the provision of all other information will be voluntary. When creating an account under "My account", the data you enter there will be stored unless you object. You can delete your account in the customer area at any time. Even if you register for a customer account, we will not send you any advertising emails or post. However, we may inform you about technical matters. You will only receive our newsletter if you have signed up for it.
The information you provide is used to deal with your order. For this purpose, we shall pass on your address details to a shipping / transport company instructed by us and, where applicable, to companies we have instructed to carry out the contractual obligations and, where applicable, we will pass on your payment details to our bank. Once the contractual obligations have been performed and data storage duties under tax and commercial laws have lapsed, we shall delete this data.
In the case of payment by credit card: all credit card holders are subject to validity checks and approvals by the card issuer. We are entitled to exchange with third parties (card issuers and, where applicable, other vicarious agents involved in the payment process) the credit card holder’s personal data required for these checks.
In order to prevent unauthorised access by third parties to your personal data, especially financial data, the order process will be SSL-encrypted.
Saving data contained in contact forms
Data which you entered in the address fields of the contact forms on our website, as well as the date and time of your query, will be sent to Chronoswiss AG or a confidentiality-bound service provider instructed by us in an encrypted manner. No other third parties will be able to access your data.
Chronoswiss AG uses the data only in order to respond to your query or to satisfy your request for information and to send to you the requested information material, where applicable via a confidentiality-bound postal service provider. Your data will be deleted afterwards and will not be passed on to third parties, unless the data is subject to statutory data storage requirements.
You can revoke your consent at any time, such revocation affecting the future use of your data. Please send your revocation declaration to:
Telephone: +41 (0)41 552 21 00
